If you’ve been running med spa marketing campaigns for a while, there’s a good chance you’re sitting on a pretty valuable list of old leads.
Maybe they filled out a Facebook form six months ago. Maybe they asked about Botox pricing and never booked. Or maybe they scheduled a consultation, disappeared, and haven’t responded since.
That doesn’t automatically mean they’re a lost cause.
The trick is knowing how to re-engage old med spa leads without making them feel like you’ve been waiting by the phone for the last eight months.
Someone who asked about lip filler three weeks ago is completely different from someone who downloaded a weight loss offer last year.
Before sending anything, organize your leads based on things like:
The service they were originally interested in
How long ago they became a lead
Whether they booked, canceled, or never scheduled
Previous offers they responded to
The more relevant your message feels, the less it feels like random marketing.
If someone originally asked about Botox, sending them a message about your newest laser hair removal package probably isn’t going to get much of a response.
“Hey! Are you still interested?” technically works, but it’s not exactly exciting.
Instead, give old leads a new reason to pay attention.
That could be:
A limited-time special
New client pricing
A complimentary consultation
A seasonal treatment
A new service
A bonus added to an existing offer
For example, instead of:
“Hi Sarah, are you still interested in lip filler?”
Try something closer to:
“Hey Sarah! You reached out to us about lip filler a little while back. We’re currently offering $100 off filler this month, so I wanted to make sure you saw it before it ends.”
It feels helpful rather than pushy.
Nobody wants to open an SMS from a med spa and find an entire paragraph waiting for them.
Your med spa lead follow-up should be quick and easy to understand.
A simple formula works well:
For example:
“Still thinking about Botox? đź‘€ We just opened a few appointments this week at our new client rate. Want me to send you the details?”
That’s it.
You don’t need five benefits, a paragraph about the treatment, and three different calls to action.
Some leads ignore text messages but check email. Others haven’t opened an email from your med spa in months but will respond to a text within two minutes.
Using both gives you another chance to reach them without sending the exact same message five times.
For email, you can give a little more detail about the offer or treatment. For SMS, keep it conversational and focused on getting a response.
You can also use Meta retargeting ads to stay visible to previous website visitors and leads while your email and SMS campaigns are running.
Now they’re not just seeing one random text from your med spa. They’re seeing the same offer consistently across multiple places.
There’s a difference between good follow-up and making someone want to block your number.
A short re-engagement sequence is usually enough.
You might send an initial offer, a reminder a few days later, and one final “last chance” message before moving on.
If they still don’t respond, leave them alone for now. You can always include them in a future campaign when you have a genuinely new offer worth sharing.
Med spas spend a lot of money generating new leads, but sometimes the easiest opportunity is already sitting inside the CRM.
Someone may not have booked the first time because the timing was wrong, the offer wasn’t strong enough, or they simply forgot.
A good med spa re-engagement campaign brings those people back into the conversation without making the follow-up feel desperate.
Keep it relevant. Give them a real reason to respond. Keep the message simple.
Sometimes that old lead just needs a better reason to finally book.
